National Commercial Sales Manager
Logistics Manager (Auckland)
Key Account Manager (Merchants & Distributors)
We’ve made a few changes to three key customer contacts for the Certified, Masonry and Dricon businesses, with the intention of continuing to improve our service to customers:
In November Jamie Frew, stepped into a newly created role – National Commercial Account Manager.
Jamie started with Firth in 2015 and has held various regional operations and sales roles since then. Never one to step away from a challenge he led the Auckland Commercial Sales team for a year, prior to his new position, where he developed some impressive sales and analytics tools and was able to markedly improve Firth’s service in the Auckland commercial market.
“His operational knowledge and understanding of logistics, alongside his sales and relationship skills, have set a blueprint that we are replicating in other parts of Firth,” says Cam Lee, General Manager for Firth. “His role is to work with our teams around the country to better understand logistics and pricing with the aim of working consistently across the regions which improves our offer to our customers.”
“Our business is about people and it’s my role to align the strengths of our wider Firth team with the needs of our customers to deliver positive outcomes and relationships nationally,” says Jamie.
With the appointment of Jamie Frew to the newly created role of National Commercial Account Manager in November last year, a gap was left for a new Auckland Logistics Manager … who best to take on that role than Luke Hoppe who is one of the original imports from Firth’s acquisition of Stevensons back in 2009.
Luke says that he is an analytical person and after some time at Firth he moved into transport and logistics. Next was a logistical analytical role eventually moving into sales and operations planning. This background made him the ideal candidate for the Auckland Logistics Manager role.
Luke adds that he is part of the furniture at Firth and doesn’t want that to change. “I know this sounds a bit cheesy but it’s the people that make it a great place to work ... and Firth is. On top of that we all just want to do the best for our customers.”
Krish joined the Firth team in 2019 in the role of Business Performance and Transformation and has been instrumental in driving Firth’s highly successful Online Concrete ordering system launched in 2021.
His extensive experience in leading sustainability-focused growth strategies, business resilience and delivering above market performance, made him the right person to take on the Key Account Manager role for the Firth Masonry and Dricon businesses across New Zealand in February this year.
“Being at Firth is like being part of a family,” says Krish. “It’s a great team to be part of. Firth people are customer service focused with a great desire to make Firth easier to do business with - which we are constantly working at.”
